The past 1 month have been an interesting and busy period. I throw myself into the world of Event Sponsorship for our in-house project, Singapore Movie Fiesta 2008 (See the post below). A marketing area that I have never experience on such a large scale. I have met at least 30-50 companies general managers, head of marketing, country managers, brand managers, business/media owners and doing countless proposal. It really opened my mind and break my own structure. I love to move out of my comfort zone constantly. So far, I have secured five figure sum cash sponsorship apart from six-figure sponsorship in-kind, a far cry from my mid 6 figure cash sponsorship target. We have something what we called WIP (Work In Progress) meeting on every Monday morning, 9.30 - 11 am. The main objectives are 2 folds: 1. To align between each dept work progress and update, 2. Each staff including the founder will contribute a major learning from the past week on the company vision, “Ideas that Sell”. This is to ensure we are constantly drilled into our brand core essence and evolved as a learning organization. *Impt: Branding is a constant process and should start from internal first!*
